Career Coach started with a question every one of us has asked: "I know what I'm studying, but what do I actually do with it?"
Who we are
Career Coach is a career platform built by seven students at Tulane University. It brings together everything you need to go from "I'm not sure what I want" to "I got the offer": career exploration, a personalized roadmap, resume and interview prep, job listings, and an AI career coach you can ask anything.
The idea is simple. Career help shouldn't be a pile of disconnected tools and a once-a-semester appointment. It should feel like having a mentor who knows your goals, tells you what to focus on now, and helps you get ready for what's next.
How we build it
Seven students set the direction. AI agents help us run Career Coach day to day, so we can build more with a small team. The judgment calls stay human: what we recommend, how we say it, and what we'll never promise.
Why Career Coach
Most students know what they're studying. Far fewer know what comes after, and nobody hands you the playbook. These are the questions we kept hearing:
"What can I actually do with my major?"
Most majors lead to far more careers than students realize, and most of those paths are invisible until someone points them out.
"How does recruiting even work?"
In some fields, internship applications open more than a year before you'd start. If you don't know the timeline, you can miss it entirely.
"What experience do I need?"
Which clubs, classes, skills, and internships actually make you competitive, and which ones just fill up your calendar?
"What should I be doing right now?"
Big goals are easier when you know the next three steps. Most students don't get told what those are.
